Focal Point
The focal point will be some particular element. It may be an entry, a facade, a fireplace, pool, or landscape area. It may be a group of building in a large complex, or a recreation center.
Whatever it is, emphasize it and subordinate other features. Directional lines of the composition should lead the eye towards – rather than away from – it.
Secodary Elements
Lansdcaping, trees, hills, or other structures must not conflict with or detract from the center of interest.
Depth
Trees, driveways, and landscaping in the immediate foreground add depth and spaciousness. Simi;ar background elements, in proper perspective and tonal values, extend the feeling even farther.
Movement
The skilled artist, good composition is more a static arrangmeent of forms, He cretaed definite movements in his illustrations by subtly leading the viewer’s attention to important features.
